TRAVELOGUE: Lola Corazon Leisure Farm
made by: Kyle Darren P. Punzalan

Travelling and going out of town they say is a perfect way to relieve stress and to be far away from all the problems your encountering. It's a perfect escape to replenish your heart soul and mind. Travelling to different places exposes you to the wonders of the World and makes you feel that joy and happiness that you were given life and that you were able to see all of that. One of the places that I'll recommend and surely will assure that it's worth going to is the Lola Corazon Leisure Farm in Pampanga.

Lola Corazon Leisure Farm is a gated, country inspired resort, spread over 40,000 square metres of garden, farmland and fishponds in the heart of Central Luzon.
It offers recreational facilities, restaurant and resort style accommodation.

Lola Corazon Leisure Farm is a place where families can enjoy outdoor activities in the heart of nature, offering a healthy and relaxing environment. It is a great family getaway and also a great team building venue.

I've been their already when I was on grade 4 and truly it was such a fun experience. It provides team building activities that surely makes effective team communication skills, cooperation, working together plus it's lots of fun and strengthens the bond of the group. Activities such as raft racing, obstacle course, team building games and a lot more.

Other than the team building activities, Lola Corazon leisure farm offers interesting and cool facilities. It has a huge garden, a large swimming pool, ponds, team building area, zip line course, rappelling, wall climbing, conference center, and a lot more!

As I've already experience all the facilities when I was a kid, I can assure you that it is safe and will give you a whole lot of enjoyment. You can wall climb, rappel, swim, raft race for free and more. There's also zipline that is fun to ride and from the price of 150 pesos you will be able to see an unobstructed view of Candaba with Mt. Apayao as the backdrop.  It is such a beauty and from there you'll truly appreciate the view.

To get to Lola Corazon Farm I advise you to just rent a van or a jeepney if your going by big groups. When we went their we were riding a bus because it's our fieldtrip. Most of the drivers are not really familiar with the place but it will be much easier for them to recognize where you are headed to if you're going to tell them that it is just right after Bocaue Exit. Travel time is around 2 to 2.5 hrs from Manila.

Lola Corazon Leisure farm also offers places to stay in to sleep for the night which is also just inside it's premises.

You can also fish in the ponds but you'll have to rent the fishing rod at the price of 20 pesos per day (includes the feeds needed). If you caught a fish you'll have to pay for that at the price of 100 pesos per kilo.

You can also rent a videoke and enjoy singing with your friends, co-workers or family. Because the place is wide and big surely you can't disturb anyone. The price for the rental is 800 pesos per day.

The Pampangos apply themselves to the same industries as the Tagalogs but are renowned for certain crafts for which they excel. They are exceptional jewelers and goldsmiths, as well as furniture makers and woodcarvers. Antique jewelry and furniture from Pampanga are considered valuable heirlooms by Filipino families and as priced possessions by antique collectors. Pampangos are renowned throughout the archipelagos as excellent cooks. They have ingeniously incorporated indigenous, Spanish and Chinese elements into their cuisine that have made the Pampanga food preparation and culinary arts both exotic and sumptious. Among the more known specialities of the Pampangos include buro, which is meat, fish or vegetables preserved in brine or fermented with rice, tapa, or dried beef or venison, tocino, or cured pork, longaniza or spiced pork sausages, aligi, or crab fat, and sisig, or sizzling pig cheeks.

There's not much of do's and dont's in The Lola Corazon Leisure farm. All you have to do is DON'T bring your problems, DON'T be sad and DO relax and enjoy with your family or friends. Also you should respect the environment and always maintain cleanliness.

So always feel free to visit together with your family or friends and will bring you such a memorable and fun experience in the Lola Corazon Leisure Farm here in Pampanga! :)
