I Came To Visit the Queen

Travelogue by Alcon Mae Olalan
10, 739 km is the exact distance from Manila from London, England. For a girl who’s never been out of the country, I’d say I’ll never regret being away from my family for that long and besides it’s worth it. London has one of the best tourist attraction in the world, you might not even want to go back home.

When I was a little girl, I thought that it’s nearly impossible for me to come and visit London. I’ve always been fascinated by Big Ben or Officially called Elizabeth Tower, Big Ben is the nickname for the great bell of the clock tower at the Palace of Westminster. The tower holds the largest four-faced chiming clock in the world and is the third-tallest free-standing clock tower. It is by far the most famous landmark in London and England, and one of the most famous monuments in Europe.

London also offers great accommodation for a cheap price. There are millions of hotels you can book in and they offer the best deal but if hotel is not your calling, you can rent a flat especially when you have a family or you want homemade foods. Most hotels and apartments have easy transportation access. The views from your window are just spectacular. The thing that I love the most in London is the variety and the numerous scattered food chains.

If you’re the type of person who travels to see art and want to walk down the memory lane then London is the best place for you to visit. People even fly to London just to visit their famous museums. One of the biggest museums in the world is the British museum. Inside you will see many artifacts that are priceless and one of a kind. Why build a time machine when you can visit history in British Museum?

Don’t like British Museum? Maybe these other Museums will convince you.

      a. This is the Natural History Museum in London it is a museum of natural history that exhibits a vast range of specimens from various segments of natural history.
      b.  The National Gallery is an art museum in Trafalgar Square in the City of Westminster, in Central London. Founded in 1824, it houses a collection of over 2,300 paintings dating from the mid-13th century to 1900.

c.  The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.

And there's more so don't worry about running out of places to visit!

Now let's focus on the little ones. London has a place for you too so you don't need to worry! If your little angels wants to see animals, worry no more. London offers one of the best aquarium and Zoo in the world. Some animals that you will see cannot be seen in other Zoo in the world.

The Sea Life London Aquarium is located on the ground floor of County Hall on the South Bank of the River Thames in central London, near the London Eye. It opened in March 1997 as the London Aquarium and hosts about one million visitors each year.

London Zoo is the world's oldest scientific zoo. It was opened in London on April 27, 1828, and was originally intended to be used as a collection for scientific study. It was eventually opened to the public in 1847.

After visiting so much places, my most recommended to last visit is the beautiful London eye. This is one of the most famous tourist spot in London, this place offers the best view in London. It will give you 360 degree perspective of central London. What are you waiting for? Visit now!
